What usually matters first?

We generally need the current package or concept, specifications, annual volume, timing, delivery location and the main goal of the project—cost reduction, quality, design, lead time, sustainability or supply-chain resilience.

Can YS work from an existing package or physical sample?

Yes. A current production sample, dieline, artwork, drawing or clear photographs can provide the starting point. The Sample Evaluation tool helps organize the commercial and technical context before materials are sent.

Can you help with a completely new package?

Yes. Projects can begin from a product requirement, reference image, structural concept or performance need. Development can include structure, materials, decoration, inserts and manufacturing strategy.

What information is most useful for pricing?

Dimensions, materials, decoration, annual volume, order or release quantities, number of SKUs, delivery location, timing and any required testing or certification. Missing details can be identified during the initial review.

Do you only source one type of packaging?

No. The site covers paperboard, rigid board, molded fiber, plastics, glass, metal, flexible films, wood and bamboo, labels and specialty substrates across multiple package formats.

How are samples and approvals handled?

The process can include structural samples, decorated samples, dieline and artwork review, finish references and a documented approved standard before mass production. The exact approval sequence depends on the program.

What about tooling?

Tooling requirements depend on the structure and manufacturing process. When tooling is required, it should be identified separately from ongoing unit cost so the commercial model is clear.

Can YS coordinate freight and warehousing?

Yes. Programs can include international freight planning, domestic warehousing, inventory visibility and release planning where appropriate to the project.

Can you support recurring or quarterly inventory programs?

Yes. For recurring programs, sourcing can be planned around annual volume, production batches, inbound shipments and inventory releases rather than treating every order as a standalone project.

Are website inquiries or project briefs binding quotes?

No. Website tools help organize project information. Final specifications, pricing, tooling, freight, duties, lead times, payment terms and production commitments are confirmed separately in written commercial documents.
